Born in 1982, İlkin Karacan Karakuş began his career in
the film and advertising industry, gaining extensive
experience in editing, production, and creative direction
before establishing himself as a director. He has
worked with Turkey’s leading production companies
and agencies, contributing to commercials, music
videos, and two feature films as an editor.
Since 2012, Karakuş has expanded his artistic journey
into photography, developing a unique visual language
that resonates both in Turkey and internationally. With
an audience of over 350,000 followers, he has built a
strong creative community and proudly represents the
global stage as a Sony Ambassador.
His work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions,
and he was twice featured in Instagram’s official
“Photo of the Year” selection. Recognized as a
respected filmmaker and photographer in his country,
he has served as a jury member in several
competitions, and has conducted photography
workshops, lectures, and photowalks, sharing his vision
with diverse audiences.
